In the meeting, Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, reviewed the work at the hospital over the past year, emphasizing all of the new developments in terms of hiring professional personnel, opening new services and enriching existing services, construction and infrastructures. Additionally, he reviewed the hospital's extensive work with the community for morbidity control and health promotion.
“We believe that our relationship with the community we serve is very important, as is the relationship with the officials at the head of the local authorities,” said Dr. Dudkiewicz. “This is a tradition of meetings with the participation of the administration of the medical center and hospital physicians, and we welcome open discussion with the heads of the authorities and their representatives at these meetings. The transparency and discourse are essential in matters regarding health as well as the meeting to provide updates on what is being done at the hospital.”
During the meetings, the participants received brief reviews by three unit directors at the medical center: Dr. Eyal Behrbalk, Director of the Spinal Unit in the Orthopedics Division; Dr. Ayelet Midbari, Pain Unit Director, and Dr. Sergio Shabtai, Director of the Stroke Unit - both in the Neurology Department.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their deep appreciation for the tradition of annual meetings, referred to needs, asked questions, and expressed their gratitude for the knowledge shared with them. They further noted that strengthening the relationship between the hospital and the community is invaluable to the health of the region's population.
