Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s conference hall was filled last Friday with pregnant women and their partners, who came to enjoy a morning that included a light and scrumptious breakfast with lots of information from the Obstetrics Department. Other pleasant surprises included massages by practitioners from the hospital's Alternative Medicine Clinic and exhibitors with their stands that completed the happy atmosphere.
During the happening, organized with the help of Shirley Regev and Nicole Yashar, Hillel Yaffe's professional staff gave lectures on a variety of topics, including: A virtual tour of the Obstetrics Department - a lecture given by Dr. Haim David, Head of the Delivery Room; what to expect and how to prepare for childbirth - a lecture given by Silvie Ackerman, midwife and teacher of childbirth classes; ultrasound screening during pregnancy - lecture given by Asst. Prof. Aon Shrim, Director of the Ultrasound Unit; how alternative medicine can help with pregnancy and childbirth - lecture given by Danit Katz-Stern, therapist certified by the hospital’s Alternative Medicine Clinic. Another lecture that was a real attraction for the mothers-to-be related to choosing a name for the newborn - a lecture given by numerologist Dov Gruner.
At the end of the day was a Q&A panel, with Hillel Yaffe experts answering questions regarding pregnancy and childbirth and mainly wishing everyone there an easy childbirth experience.
