In keeping with tradition, Hillel Yaffe staff came together to raise a toast to the New Year. The event was opened by Dr. Amnon Ben Moshe, Administrative Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, who spoke to the employees in honor of the New Year, stating, “The start of a new year is a good time to review our successes and achievements over the past year. Clearly, it was a productive year for construction, development and infrastructure. The hospital continues to advance and develop, both in terms of introducing services, advanced medical equipment and innovative technologies as well as upgrading existing buildings and creating new departments, despite the limited budget. This past year, we bid farewell to pillars of the hospital, managers who started working at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center when it was just getting off the ground, and now they are retiring. To replace them, we hired new, professional and dedicated employees and managers who will continue their important work, continue to strive for the very professional and personal excellence that is the hallmark of the hospital and its employees.”

Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, thanked the employees for their important work over the past year. “It was a year of diverse work in three main areas: quality and process improvement - here we continued to lead and excel in quality indicators, service and infection prevention. Development and upgrading of infrastructures - the significant upgrade the hospital is undergoing. Over 100 projects are currently in various stages of design and construction, including the construction of the new NICU building, new Neurology Department, including a special Neurology Unit that will admit stroke patients, a General Intensive Care Department, upgrade of the Heart Institute, and construction of a Welfare Center that will serve the patients, visitors and hospital staff. The third and most important area is development and strengthening of our human capital. In other words, our hiring of new and professional employees and department directors, who are continuing to lead the hospital to new achievements and excellence, while providing quality, professional care and putting the patient at the center.”

On behalf of all the hospital volunteers, at the end of the ceremony, Sara Zeira, a volunteer in the Neurology Department for close to 20 years, thanked the medical center’s staff and administration for the warmth and empathy they receive from the hospital staff.

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
