If you recently visited Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, you may have been lucky enough to enjoy a live piano concert in the hospital's main corridor. This heartwarming gesture was the initiative of pianist and artist Naveya Kchomovich from Kibbutz Magal. The piano was donated thanks to a connection made by Shelly Landsman, CEO of Microsoft Israel and a member of Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, with the family of the late Mr. Gideon Alexander.
"We lost my father after a long battle with cancer. Unfortunately, I know firsthand that patients and their families spend hours and hours in the hospital and how difficult it is. That's why we decided to donate this piano that my sisters and I played when we were children," said Galia Alexander, Gideon's daughter.
Their generosity was appreciated by those who visited Hillel Yaffe Medical Center last week while Kchomovich played the piano that was positioned near the main entrance to Inpatient Building A.
