Patients in the Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics and Surgery Departments at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center woke up to a Purim morning that was all about giving - through their room windows. Gvahim, a company that generally cleans windows on tall buildings, surprised the patients when its employees dressed up as superheroes and handed out mishlochei manot while climbing on the outside of the windows, instead of cleaning them.
The entertaining initiative was a 100% volunteer effort and was enthusiastically received by the patients, staff and visitors. Yuval Mestelman, a four-year-old from Talmei Elazar, who received her Purim package directly from Spiderman, was very excited by the gesture, as were her parents. Dr. Adi Klein, Director of the Pediatrics Department, was also very moved by the fabulous initiative. But this was just the beginning in the run up to Good Deeds Day, which will be marked at the beginning of April. Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center came on board for Good Deeds Day, and on the day itself is planning extensive activity for the benefit of the patients and medical staff of Hillel Yaffe.
