Mr. Eli Orgad, owner of Orgad Holdings Ltd. and of Radio 90FM, harnessed himself to the initiative of the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and its chairman, businessman Mr. Moshe Morag. Together they held a special day of broadcasts to benefit the establishment of a new Intensive Coronary Care Unit at the hospital. Prof. Rafi Carasso and Brig. Gen. Avi Benayahu came to broadcast in the studio, in a voluntary capacity and with great love.
The interviewees over the course of the day included Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, who also spoke about the importance of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine; Administrative Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Amnon Ben Moshe, who explained about the needs of the future unit, and Prof. Ariel Roguin, Director of the Cardiac Division, who received a surprise call from singer Kobi Aflalo after he admitted he carries out catheterizations to the sound of his songs.

Another surprise call came from singer Peer Tasi, whose wife gave birth that same day at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. Tasi praised the staff there during the broadcast, and called on the public to donate to the important cause.
Other guests who came on the air and helped raised donations: Head of the Menashe Regional Council Mr. Ilan Sadeh; Head of the Emek Hefer Regional Council, Dr. Galit Shaul, and CEO of the Caesarea Edmond Benjamin de Rothschild Corporation, Mr. Michael Karsenti.
Others on the air: Chef Dr. Nof Otmana, member of the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, who has been volunteering in the coronavirus laboratory over recent months; journalist Mr. Shai Golden, who spoke about the devoted care he received in the Cardiac Division following a heart attack, and doctors from the Division, including Director of the Intensive Coronary Care Unit, Prof. Simcha Meisel, former patients from the Cardiac Division, businessmen and members of the public who donated.

Aside from Radio 90FM, the local print media also harnessed themselves to provide publicity, free of charge. Likewise, significant donations were also received from Hadera Paper, the Alliance Company, the Israel Electric Corporation, M. Bar Taasiot Ltd., and other local businesses from all the communities near the hospital.
A total of some NIS 1.8 million was raised, including over NIS 1.2 million on the day itself, and as Chairman of the NPO, Mr. Moshe Morag, defined it: “There’s still more to come”.
