Starting the year off right: A first birth on the first day of 2021!

Danielle Refael from Harish came for a checkup at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center Gynecology and Obstetrics Emergency Room, after having passed the 40th week of her pregnancy. The doctors decided to admit her for observation and a few hours later she was taken to the Delivery Room. Midwife Naomi Cohen accompanied Danielle from the moment she arrived at the Delivery Room until after the regular birth, during which her firstborn son was born weighing 3.85 kg.

After giving birth, Danielle said excitedly, “I never imagined having a baby on the first day of the New Year. I would like to thank the devoted Delivery Room staff who accompanied me during the most important moment of my life, and who made sure to provide a pleasant atmosphere for me with soothing music and reflexology treatments to ease the pain.”
