Meeting with heads of local authorities

Participating in the meeting were heads of local authorities from Hadera, Binyamina-Givat Ada, Kafr Qara, Zichron Yaakov, Basma, the Alona Regional Council, Elyakhin, Jisr az-Zarqa, and others. Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, updated those present regarding the hospital’s preparations for coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past year and for the future, while providing a comprehensive explanation of the hospital’s additional core activities including innovation, new services, and health promotion in the community.

The issues presented were essential services which the hospital wishes to develop and operate to improve the health of the region’s residents. The authority heads, who are responsible for the welfare of the local residents, expressed their willingness to harness themselves to help advance regulatory approval for projects including operating a unit for cerebral angiography, and purchasing an ECMO (heart-lung) and PET-CT machines.
