Prof. Gotlieb currently serves as Director of Gynecologic-Oncology and Obstetrics at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and holds multiple positions in various associations in Canada and worldwide. He served as President of the Gynecologic Oncology Society of Canada and Secretary of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society. He has also been involved in hundreds of important professional publications including reports on efficacy and safety of robotic surgery for uterine and ovarian cancer.
“As a true friend of Israel, Prof. Gotlieb visits from time to time, and many senior gynecologic oncology professionals in Israel have studied under him and done their fellowships with him,” said Director of the Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Prof. Ilan Bruchim.
“When he told me he was coming to Israel, I asked him to assist me with two particularly complex oncology surgeries. As someone who is always willing to consult, help and support the gynecologic oncology units in Israel, he immediately agreed to come and volunteer his extensive knowledge and experience. For that both I and the hospital are grateful. Both surgeries Prof. Gotlieb was involved in were performed successfully with the assistance of the da Vinci robot, and the women were discharged to their homes two days later.
Note that Prof. Bruchim himself did his fellowship in gynecologic oncology under Prof. Gotlieb at McGill in Montreal two decades ago, and currently, one of the senior physicians in the Gynecology Department, Dr. Tomer Bar-Noy, will be going to the hospital in Montreal for further education in the field.
