Dr. Sharon Rashi-Elkeles earned her PhD in biology from Tel Aviv University, with a focus on applied genomics, and has over 10 years of experience in business and leadership of biotechnology and biohealth startups, as a founder and CEO. She has founded and established several companies through her experience as a biomed entrepreneur, who combines her strong scientific background with skills and business experience.
In 2020, Dr. Rashi-Elkeles was appointed to the position of Chairperson of the Council for the Advancement of Women in Science and Technology, which operates as part of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and worked to increase the rate of participation and representation of women in science- and technology-based professions.
In her position at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Rashi-Elkeles is responsible for maximizing resources and efforts in the field of innovation, which will lead to development of new therapies, integration of technologies and leadership of innovative processes, all of which have a single objective - to improve the quality of medicine the medical center provides its patients.
