Construction of a Fortified Building for the ER, Emergency Hospitalization and Operating Rooms

The first phase of the project includes a fortified Emergency Room (ER) floor - five times larger than the existing facility! It also involves the construction of a fortified underground emergency hospitalization shell and a fortified shell for an operating room floor. The estimated construction cost for this phase is approx.
$70 million, with completion expected by the end of 2027. The Ministry of Health
has allocated a limited budget, and the hospital has begun fundraising efforts to
advance the project
Establishment of PET-CT Institute

Establishment of PET-CT Institute

In May 2024, the Ministry of Health awarded Hillel Yaffe Medical Center a license to establish a PET-CT Institute, in response to the significant growth in cancer patients in the region and the need to ensure high availability of this vitally important and life-saving examination. The new institute will allow cancer patients to undergo their PET-CT scans at the same facility where they receive treatment, working with their medical team and eliminating the need to travel long distances to other hospitals.

The Cold Cap is an innovative FDA-approved treatment designed to prevent or significantly reduce hair loss during chemotherapy, as well as to aid in hair regrowth after treatment by promoting healthier hair growth. This is particularly beneficial for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy with taxane-based drugs. The cap is worn during each chemotherapy session, which is known to cause hair loss
