“We are committed to raising NIS 3 million of the NIS 8 million necessary for the establishment of a new and spacious Oncology-Hematology Center,” said Mr. Moshe Morag, Chairman of Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, when opening the organization’s annual fundraiser for the hospital.
He further added, “This is a challenging, yet extremely important task, as the larger the population in the region grows, which is what has been happening in recent years, the greater the demand for essential and life-saving treatment. We work hand in hand with hospital staff to help improve, upgrade and strengthen the medical center, and we will continue to do so, to the extent possible, together with the dear audience here with us tonight.”
The annual benefit held by Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center this year is dedicated to raising funds for the establishment of a new and spacious Oncology-Hematology Center, which will bring together the full range of services and treatments cancer patients require, under conditions suitable for the patients, their families and the attending staff.

Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, welcomed the attendees and spoke about the importance of Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, its efforts and members, who in recent years have been fervently involved in all the hospital’s projects, of any size, thanks to their goodwill and unparalleled dedication.
Dr. Dudkiewicz spoke about the significant strides HYMC has made in terms of construction, new equipment and expanding its medical services.
According to him, all of these will serve the many residents of the local authorities surrounding the hospital. Dr. Dudkiewicz thanked everyone for their willingness to take part in helping to build the new and modern Oncology-Hematology Center.
During the evening, videos about the work of Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center since its establishment were screened as well as about the far-reaching and professional life-saving work done at the Hematology and Oncology Institutes and the Oncology Unit, headed by Dr. Orit Sofer and Dr. Valeriya Semenisty along with their dedicated staff.
The event itself was attended by businesspeople, high-tech professionals and members of the real estate sector, mayors and heads of local councils, medical and nursing staff, high-ranking executives and many, many others - all cooperated with the Ma Kashur trio, which got people on their feet dancing, and all for one important cause - to open their pockets and donate towards the establishment of the new and spacious Oncology-Hematology Center.
