The drill was conducted jointly with the military, police, Magen David Adom and the fire department, and in coordination with the Home Front Command and the Ministry of Health's Emergency Department. During the event, hospital staff were assessed by observers from the Home Front Command, Ministry of Health and Kaplan Medical Center to evaluate their level of preparedness, function, provision of care, tools and even infrastructures.
At the end of the drill, which lasted several hours, the observers stated that the way the HYMC team worked was impressive, serious and inspired confidence.
Deputy Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and Director of the Emergency Team, Dr. Benjamin Abo, noted that drilling emergencies is essential and that he hopes the hospital will not have to face such a situation in the future, but if it does, it will be ready and prepared to cope with all the challenges and complexities, as it has in the past.
