Hochberg Amit, Dr.

Dr. Amit Hochberg is a graduate of Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. He completed his internship and residency in pediatric medicine in the Pediatrics Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 2008. He later completed a fellowship in neonatology, further education in the Newborn Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida, as well as an additional fellowship at the NICU of The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and has been a specialist in neonatology since 2016. When he returned to Israel, he continued working at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center as a senior physician, until his appointment as department director in January 2022.

In recent years, Dr. Hochberg has been responsible for overseas students and has served as a member of the Internship and Teaching Committee, the Resident, Intern and Student Committee, and the institutional Infection Control Committee. Up until recently, he also served as secretary of the Israel Neonatal Society. In 2021, he was even recognized as an outstanding lecturer by the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, Haifa.
