Koren started out at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 1996 as an economist and then as the Economy Unit Director. Later, he was appointed as Deputy Administrative Director and was in charge of many issues, particularly construction, engineering and information systems. He has also headed complex projects and many committees over the years.
Koren, a resident of Pardes Hanna-Karkur, earned his MBA from the University of Haifa's School of Business Administration and his BA in economics and business administration from University of Haifa as well. He was named at the end of the official tender process for the position of administrative director this past week and, as noted above, will replace Dr. Amnon Ben Moshe, who retired after 34 years of service.
Koren is considered a quality and professional employee, with strong organization and management skills, who has proven himself through his work in the organization and is well respected. Koren said that in his new job it is important for him to prepare for the challenges the medical center will face in the coming years, as part of its current accelerated development.
