During his visit, he received an overview of the condition of the patients admitted due to the war in the south and an overview of the medical center's emergency preparedness from Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Hospital Director and the management team that were part of the visit. Dr. Dudkiewicz presented the protection lacking compared to the professionalism and preparedness of the staff for any emergency scenario.
Minister Buso was very impressed by the professional preparation and dedication of the staff and said that he was aware that the hospital serves a tremendous population, and therefore the gaps presented to him need to be addressed not only in times of emergency, but also under normal conditions. These include the need for a PET-CT, cerebral angiography for treatment of strokes and additional medical services for treatment of the populations, especially in medical emergencies.
The minister also visited Orthopedics Department B, where a couple that had been injured in the south are hospitalized and being treated with a great deal of professionalism and dedication by Hillel Yaffe staff.
