Sara Badash started working at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 1987 as a registered nurse, and today she serves as a clinical supervisor in the Nursing Administration. She is responsible for leading numerous change processes in the Surgery Division where she is in charge as well as in the operating rooms. Since October 7, Badash has stepped up for all the tasks required at the hospital, including recruiting volunteers to adjust special wheelchairs for wounded who have undergone amputations, securing accommodations for parents and families of the wounded, holding events to strengthen the resilience of the attending staff and doing everything in her power to respond to all the needs of the hospitalized wounded in order to boost their morale and provide support.
In the recommendations for the award, HYMC’s Director of Nursing, Dina Fainblat, wrote the following. “Sara is a true role model, talented, professional and knowledgeable, always willing to take on any task, highly available, with much generosity, dedication and caring. We are proud that she is part of the Hillel Yaffe team. Her contribution since the start of the war has been invaluable, but even in normal times, she is widely admired and serves as an inspiration to those around her.”
