Hillel Yaffe Medical Center closed out a highly successful and special professional conference for nursing staff in the Maternity Division regarding the range of services in the division. “It is important for us to share the range of services and work in the division with professionals in the field”

The conference was held at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and was attended by close to 200 professionals from within and outside the hospital. It highlighted content regarding all aspects of the nursing care provided by the staff in the Maternity Division. Issues such as anxiety about childbirth and cognitive therapy, depression during pregnancy, breast milk donation, dealing with a still birth, breastfeeding an infant born to a surrogate and more were some of the issues addressed in the professional lectures given by the nursing staff in the division.

The Clinical Supervisor in Nursing Management, Orly Basis, who initiated the conference and led its production, stated that the purpose of the conference was to share the full scale of nursing activity provided to patients in the division with professional staff in the community and throughout the entire hospital.

 

“We do a great deal of highly professional work designed to support and embrace patients,” noted Basis. “We know that cooperation with the community and continuity of care is essential.”

 

Hillel Yaffe Medical Center's Nursing Director, Dina Fainblat, thanked everyone who participated in the success of the conference, both in terms of the content and participants. Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department Director, Prof. Ilan Bruchim, and Director of Newborn and Neonatal Care Department, Dr. Amit Hochberg, also gave greetings.
