The seminar included current lectures on the challenges of diagnosis and treatment of obesity and fatty liver, viral liver diseases, liver tumors and more. There were also other lectures regarding the essential and necessary link with family medicine in early diagnosis and joint management of various gastrointestinal and liver diseases, with an emphasis on inflammatory bowel diseases.
Dr. Fadi Abu Bacher said, “We were delighted to host specialists from the community and to enrich the hospital's team of experts who took part in the event. Gastrointestinal and liver diseases and everything related to them are a ‘hot’ issue in health care. There are many changes and updates that have a major impact on public health. Community physicians are the ‘first line’ in diagnosing and preventing these diseases.”
Gastroenterology Institute Director, Dr. Oren Gal, said, “We view maintaining contact with community physicians as being exceptionally important to the wellbeing of our shared patients, and I welcome all cooperation on professional and service issues, which is why this seminar is so important. Thank you to everyone who worked to ensure its success.”
