Baroness de Rothschild is the head of the Rothschild family today, continuing a legacy of over 140 years of creating a better Israeli society. She is also the one who has outlined the Foundation’s vision of philanthropy that creates an impact, of which the Hila program at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center is a part.
During the meeting, Baroness de Rothschild held a personal and direct conversation with Hillel Yaffe's selected group of doctors, taking an interest in their background, their aspirations, and their involvement in the work at the hospital.

Also visiting the medical center together with the baroness to get an impression of its special characteristics were the vice chairman of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, Mr. Miki Kliger, the director of the Foundation, Adv. Tal Saguy Paran, the Foundation’s director of philanthropy, Mr. Eli Buch, and its director of excellence Ms Vardit Gilor.
The prestigious Hila program was launched this year by the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, in cooperation with the Friends Association. Over the past decade the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, which supports the program, has contributed more than a billion shekels for the creation of a just, cohesive and participatory Israeli society, setting in motion deep processes of social change with the aim of promoting excellence, diversity and leadership through higher education. In addition, in the midst of the Covid epidemic, the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation contributed a significant budget to ensure essential protective equipment for the hospital staff.
