New appointment

Dr. Efrat City Elifaz is a graduate of the Technion's Faculty of Medicine and a specialist psychiatrist. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Shalvata Mental Health Center and served a specialist psychiatrist at Lev Hasharon Mental Health Center and Sheba Medical Center. She then held a variety of management positions at Mazor Mental Health Center.

Dr. City Elifaz came to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 2019, after managing the Outpatient Department at Mazor Mental Health Center. In her most recent position, she served as Mental Health Division Director at Hillel Yaffe. In her various positions, she has driven innovative programs to prevent recurrent hospitalization and promoted the integration of mental health into general medicine.

Dr. City Elifaz is a Clinical Lecturer (Educator) at the Technion's Faculty of Medicine and is head of instruction of medical students at the hospital. She is consistently recognized as an outstanding lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine. She also serves as Chairperson of the Israeli Psychiatric Association’s Haifa and northern branch. Furthermore, she served as a member of the Health Care Services Basket Committee in 2021 - the first psychiatrist to hold this position.
