In the first hour of 2025, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center was filled with joy and excitement with the birth of the first baby in 2025. Ortal Bakshayev, 27, from Or Akiva, gave birth to her third son, weighing 3 kg, in what will be remembered as being a true “dream delivery.”
“It was a magical experience,” said midwife Tamar Israel, who was with the couple throughout the delivery. What started out as a routine check-up in week 40, with 2 cm dilation, quickly turned into an exciting journey. From 5 cm dilation, Ortal progressed to full dilation in just 30 minutes, with everything proceeding perfectly in a relaxed atmosphere.”
In the very moving moment after giving birth, as her newborn son rested in her arms, Ortal chose to share a moment of hope and prayer. In a voice filled with emotion, she prayed for the speedy return of the hostages to their families and the safe return of all the soldiers. Ortal and her son are currently hospitalized in the Maternity Department for rest and recovery.
Daniel, Ortal's excited husband, was by her side throughout the process, and the happy couple welcomed 2025 with the most precious of gifts - a healthy baby, a symbol of hope and revival.
