Microbiology Laboratory Director

Dr. Pitashny is a physician specializing in clinical microbiology, with a great deal of experience in the field of diagnostic microbiology and various other research areas.
She graduated medical school in Argentina, did her residency in clinical microbiology at Hadassah Ein Kerem, did a post-doctoral fellowship in immunology and microbiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and an additional post-doc in the human microbiome at Baylor University in Houston, Texas.
Upon returning to Israel, she began working as the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Director at Barzilai Hospital and then as the Clinical and Research Microbiome Center Director at Rambam Medical Center.
Dr. Pitashny is a lecturer in the clinical track at the Technion and publishes numerous research articles on issues at the forefront of her field.
