The division's recognition as an ESGO-accredited Fellowship Training Program in Gynecological Oncology is the result of the hard work invested by the division staff and a lengthy process that culminated with receipt of the official certificate. In other words, recognition of the academic and clinical capabilities necessary for a physician fellowship training program in this field. The entire process and accreditation are shared by Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and Rambam Hospital in Haifa as a single center under the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion in Haifa. Hillel Yaffe is the third in Israel to be award such accreditation.
Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Division, Prof. Ilan Bruchim, said, “This is an important milestone for the division and was achieved through close cooperation of all our colleagues in the various hospital departments as well as our colleagues at Rambam. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who worked with us to promote the division. We will continue to work, invest and promote the Gynecologic Oncology Unit and the division as a whole, while maintaining the standards necessary to train physicians in Israel and Europe.”
