The firefighters from Hadera Station’s Special Rescue Unit, under the command of Sergeant Major Ohad Vanunu, went to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, where they rappelled from the building's roof dressed as superheroes from the movies, surprising the hospitalized children with festive mishloach manot for Purim. The special operation was designed to make the children happy and get them into the spirit of Purim, with lots of smiles and excitement all around.
Ben, 4 years old from Hadera, hospitalized at Hillel Yaffe, was excited about meeting Spiderman on the windowsill in the department where he has been treated for several days, and by the tasty mishloach manot he received. Without a doubt, it’s a better way to pass the time in the hospital.
Pediatrics Division Director, Prof. Adi Klein, said, “It's a fantastic tradition. Both parents and children have a good time and are surprised each year. It allows us to make the children happy along with their medical treatment, and thanks to the “superheroes.”
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Purim!
