Director General of the Ministry of Health at Hillel Yaffe: “Professional and Serious Preparedness”

Director General of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Moshe Bar Siman Tov, visited Hillel Yaffe Medical Center with senior ministry officials to assess the hospital's preparedness amid the Iron Swords War and Operation Rising Lion, accompanied by Prof. Mickey Dudkiewicz and hospital leadership

During the visit, the second this past week, the protected inpatient, emergency department, and operating room project was presented, the construction of which began last year, as well as the emergency rooms, delivery rooms, and additional facilities where special preparations were made this past week to optimally protect patients and staff at the hospital. The Director General and his entourage were impressed by the hospital's rapid and thorough preparedness as well as by the dedication and professionalism of the teams.

 

This past week, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center undertook comprehensive preparation work. Among other things, the emergency rooms and delivery rooms were moved to protected areas, while the facility continued to operate essential services: life-saving surgeries, dialysis, IVF and catheterizations. Furthermore as part of the preparation work undertaken, towards the end of the week two internal medicine departments were relocated to the protected parking facility at Rambam Medical Center.

Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, said, "We are doing our very best to protect hospitalized patients and staff, while preserving essential services for the community, maintaining functional continuity and responding to emergency scenarios in these difficult times."
