Hochberg Irit, Dr.

Dr. Hochberg graduated (cum laude) from the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, with an MD and a doctorate in medical sciences. She specialized in internal medicine and endocrinology at Rambam Medical Center and completed a post-doctoral fellowship on diabetes an insulin resistance. She also completed a clinical fellowship on pituitary gland diseases at the University of Michigan in the United States.

Dr. Hochberg is head of the Endocrinology Department and is a senior clinical lecturer at the Technion, a leader in the national diabetologist training program in Israel, as part of which she teaches physicians, interns and medical students.

Until her appointment at Hillel Yaffe, she served as Diabetes Service Director at Rambam Medical Center.

Dr. Hochberg has published numerous articles in professional journals and lectures at both national and international conferences.

She is a member of the executive committee of the Israel Diabetes Association, the National Diabetes Council and the Israel Endocrine Society.

Her main areas of research: Use of digital technologies in medicine, molecular mechanisms of diabetes, insulin resistance and treatment of diabetes in hospitalized patients.
