The new Hillel Yaffe Medical Center Women’s Health Center was dedicated during a festive ceremony this week. The construction was made possible thanks to a generous donation from the estate of the late Edna and Yehuda Savir, through their estate executor, Mr. Itzik Feingold. The donation, totaling NIS 15 million, was made through the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. The hospital covered the remaining costs.
The new center spans approximately 650 square meters and includes three advanced procedure rooms for various treatments, some of which have been performed up to now in operating theaters. The center will also include, one alongside another, all the clinics from the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department, including the Pelvic Floor Clinic, the Cervix Clinic, High-Risk Pregnancy clinics, and the Amniocentesis Clinic. Likewise, the Center will also offer treatments such as diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy without need for anesthesia, cystoscopy, colposcopy, urodynamic testing, removal of cervical lesions and treatment of precancerous conditions, as well as a wide range of additional innovative procedures using state-of-the-art equipment in a spacious and welcoming environment.
Additional good news is the launch of a separate area within the Center, especially for both male and female victims of sexual assault—the Helena Center, which has operated at the hospital for several years. Due to its sensitive nature, this center has a separate entrance and was built to meet the strict standards of the Ministry of Health.
Chairman of the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Mr. Moshe Morag: “We are proud to inaugurate this important Center, and delighted that the women of the region now have a modern, advanced Women’s Health Center. I hope that this place will bring blessing, healing, and hope to all those who receive care here, and will serve as a warm, professional home for all the women who require its services. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Itzik Feingold, executor of the Edna and Yehuda Savir estate, on his decision to devote the estate funds to the hospital. This is another step in the hospital’s growth and development for the benefit of the region and public health.”
Director General of the Medical Center Hillel Yaffe Medical Center Prof. Mickey Dudkiewicz: "Our team of experts in the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department is one of the finest in the country. The new center provides women in the region with optimal professional conditions, advanced medical technologies and innovative equipment, along with a pleasant and welcoming experience. I am deeply grateful to the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and to Mr. Feingold for this important contribution.”
Director of the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Prof. Ilan Bruchim: “Our ability to provide care will expand, as well as the types of procedures, and range of department clinics. Availability of appointments will increase significantly, thanks to us now having a greater number of examination rooms and procedure rooms equipped with the most state-of-the-art technologies. Our department strives for excellence in all areas and therefore it is clear to us that the new Center, consolidated in one location, enables us to perform a wide range of diagnostic and surgical procedures – which is important for improving the work of the staff, and the services we offer.”
The ceremony ended with a speech by Mr. Itzik Feingold, on behalf of the Edna and Yehuda Savir Foundation: “This is a wonderful place, which creates a real opportunity for healing every woman. Thank you to all those involved for your work, willingness, and the excellent execution.
