Sheffer Daniel, Dr.

Dr. Daniel Sheffer is a graduate of the Hebrew University and the Technion Faculty of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 2024 and has served as a senior surgeon in the Surgery A Department since completing his residency. During his residency, Dr. Sheffer was a clinical instructor for medical residents at the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine. He also served as a representative for residents in the Israeli Surgical Association and as a council member of the EVTM (Endovascular and Trauma Management) Residents' Council.

Dr. Sheffer is currently participating in a fellowship program by the Israeli Surgical Association on abdominal wall reconstruction, with an emphasis on complex hernia repair using minimally invasive techniques.

He is a member of the Hila Program for Development of Medical Leadership and Excellence at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.

He holds the rank of Major (res.) and serves as deputy commander of a frontline resuscitation unit in a reserve ground forces brigade.

Dr. Shafer performs both elective and emergency surgery, while training residents and students, contributes to academic research in the surgical division, and leads innovation projects within the hospital.
