Dr. Oren Israeli, a specialist in general surgery with subspecialty training in oncological gastric surgery, is the director of the Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Service at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.
He completed his medical studies in Budapest, Hungary, in 2010, and then completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Rabin Medical Center, where he finished his training in 2020. He went on to serve as a specialist in the department for about one year, and since 2021 has been a surgery specialist at Hillel Yaffe Hospital.
In 2022-2023, he completed a fellowship at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) in South Korea, known as a leading global center for gastric surgery and treatment of gastric diseases, and where hundreds of such surgeries are performed annually, with emphasis on malignant tumors.
During his residency at Rabin Medical Center and then at Hillel Yaffe and SNUH, he acquired extensive experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery, which he has continued to develop and deepen at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center since 2021. He places great importance on combining precise and research-based medicine with a compassionate and attentive approach to patients and their families.
Dr. Israeli is a member of the Israeli Surgical Association, the Esophageal-Gastric Surgery Society, and the International Gastric Cancer Association.
