The new delivery room area at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center has opened with "smart" rooms controlled by the patient, a natural birth room with a pool and specialized equipment, very large delivery areas in every room, all accompanied by the professional staff of the Maternity Department
9/09/2025
This week Hillel Yaffe Medical Center inaugurated its new delivery room complex, which was built from the ground up over the past year and has become larger, more spacious, modern, and above all, smart. The new space is made up of eight delivery rooms, all constructed with the latest technology, emphasizing a holistic approach and maximum comfort for the mother and her companions - whether they stay by her side during delivery or in the waiting room at the entrance.
The new complex boasts a room with a built-in bathtub to help manage pain for women who choose natural birth, an accessible and soundproof room, as well as six additional delivery rooms, all well-equipped, where women can give birth using any delivery method they choose.
The rooms are spacious and carefully designed, with private showers and bathrooms, and include advanced multimedia systems - everything done with attention to the finest details, to give expectant mothers and their companions a sense of comfort and make them feel at home.
Tanya Levy, Head Nurse of the delivery rooms at Hillel Yaffe, said, "Our entire staff has undergone professional training in natural births. As always, our midwives integrate tools from complementary medicine, provide emotional support, consult on breastfeeding, and more to give each mother the birth experience that's exactly right for her."
What will your birth experience be like?
"Every expectant mother who arrives at the delivery room receives her own smart card, which the main companions use during their stay in the delivery room," stated Dr. Haim David, Maternity Department Director and Head of the Delivery Rooms. "The mother also has her own tablet that allows her to control the desired atmosphere in the room, the music and lighting, with a variety ranging from tropical waters, along with dolphins and even the jungle - all for the most relaxed birth possible."
The delivery rooms are adjacent to the operating rooms, so if the expectant mother need to be rushed in for treatment - the transition is from room to room, which also enables maximum professional safety from the start. Note that the delivery rooms are also suitable for the Orthodox Jewish community, with elements that were also thoughtfully planned in advance, such as entry with a standard key on Sabbath.
Advanced technology has been installed throughout the complex, enabling remote monitoring of the expectant mother and baby's condition at every stage and from anywhere. The complex also has a special room for newborn care, which is also equipped with the most advanced means when needed.

So what's left? Just come and have your baby here
The new rooms have already opened to expectant mothers, offering the full range of professional, well-established and excellent services that have always been available. The temporary complex has been closed and will be converted to maternity rooms, most of which will be private.
Prof. Ilan Bruchim, Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department Director, said, "This is another important step for the women of the region. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the complex work of establishing this new space. I call on all expectant mothers: come have your babies here! We're waiting for you with the most advanced technology, the most comfortable place, and most importantly, with our professional staff."
