The conference, which was organized this year as well by the HYMC Nursing Administration team, opened with an impressive display of research work and posters by the hospital’s nursing staff. This was followed by enriching lectures on select projects and research on the conference's central theme – initiative and knowledge as tools that impact the work of the organization's nursing staff, which also affect clinical aspects, resilience and more. The various teams worked on these projects over the past year, both in their work with patients and relating to health care practitioners, work processes and more.
The conference opened with greetings from Prof. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, and Hillel Yaffe’s Nursing Director, Dina Fainblat. In their remarks, both addressed the challenges in nursing, alongside continuous learning, research and training, which have long since become part of the demanding profession of hospital nurses, and which are necessary to provide contemporary and modern care.

She thanked her organizing team: Clinical Supervisor in the Nursing Administration, Dr. Anna Ofir, and the Research Coordinator Nurse, Mahmod Hamdan, who were the driving force behind the success of the research day.
At the end of the day, recognition awards were presented for outstanding lecture (Shelley Rado – Palliative Clinical Specialist) and outstanding poster (Marina Eisman and Rania Knaani from the Outpatient Unit).
The day was concluded with a lecture by Ms. Lily Shaashua Meridan, who spoke about stereotypes and prejudices. Conference attendees expressed their appreciation for the conference structure and content, and emphasized their anticipation for next year's conference.
