The conference focused on presenting the philosophy behind the work of Hillel Yaffe’s Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department, which combines outstanding medical professionalism with a personalized birth experience. The event was hosted by the Caesarea Development Company and was attended by hundreds of expectant mothers and their partners. Participants enjoyed a generous spread of refreshments, a thoughtful gift and exposure to various booths. They also received an overview of the Caesarea Development Company's early childhood activities, including enrichment classes, a postnatal mothers' club and a newly opened Gymboree, alongside a 360° overview of the activity of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s Maternity Division.
When speaking, Dr. Amit Hochberg, Newborn and Neonatal Care Department Director, emphasized the importance of giving women choices even after childbirth, "We do our utmost to allow the mother to decide on the post-birth process – from delaying the cutting of the umbilical cord, skin-to-skin contact and initial bonding, to providing information and recommendations about vaccinations so the women are able to make decisions freely and responsibly."
