“Rotem and Ido came in yesterday morning,” said Rawan. “They knew they were going to miss the holiday meal but were happy to learn that I would be their midwife after their first birth, when the shift had already changed, and I wasn’t the midwife who delivered their firstborn son. This time, I wasn’t willing to take a pass. I told them that if they came during my shift, I would stay with them until the baby was born, and the delivery would also be during my shift, and that’s exactly what happened. We chose songs, played soothing multimedia with dolphins in the background, and within a few hours, their baby girl has already welcomed the New Year. It was a beautiful birth.”
Rotem, for her part, aside from her excitement about the new, nice and well-equipped delivery room, was mainly happy about the meeting with Rawan and, of course, the particularly memorable date.
The weight of their new bouncing baby girl - the first baby girl of the New Year - was 3.325 kg, and she already has a two-and-a-half-year-old brother waiting at home to meet her.
Congratulations and Happy New Year!
