Karni Dror, Dr.

Senior Physician, Surgery A Department

Dr. Dror Karni is a graduate of the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine (2008) and has been a specialist in general surgery since 2016, after completing his residency at Emek Medical Center.
He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, in 2018.
He went on to serve as a senior surgeon in Surgery Department B at Emek Medical Center, as part of the Colorectal Unit, and is currently a senior surgeon in the Surgery Division at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.
He holds an academic appointment as a lecturer-clinical educator at the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Karni is interested in and is actively involved with medical/surgical education, including teaching students over many years, with special interest in operating room teaching methods, surgical debriefing, and learning from errors.
