This week marked the start of the new academic year at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s School of Nursing, with a variety of programs and courses.
"The year opened with quite a few training and study programs," said Nursing School Director Professor Merav Ben Natan. "We opened academic career change tracks for students who already have a bachelor's degree and want to transition to nursing as well as a four-year academic track - both as an extension of Tel Aviv University. At the same time, we’re proud to continue nurturing the next generation of nurses through initiatives such as the Aspiring Nurses Program for 10th-12th grade students from Ulpanat Mevasseret Baruch in Hadera, now in its ninth year, and through a new partnership with ORT Pardes Hanna Agricultural High School in the health sciences track."

This year the school continues to offer a wide range of continuing education courses for nurses in key clinical fields: intensive care, geriatrics, fertility, sleep counseling, psychiatry, heart failure, and clinical instruction - alongside a diverse set of professional enrichment courses.
As mentioned, one of the major achievements this year is the opening of one of the country's largest academic career change tracks, with enrollment of 106 students.
"This is an inspiring opening to a year that embodies vision, innovation and excellence in the nursing profession," Prof. Ben Natan said. "We are proud of our students, who are the future of the Israeli healthcare system."
