Administration and Logistics Conference at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center
During the day, various projects and processes were presented in the fields of logistics, IT, economics, human resources, communications, legal counsel and more. Among other things, an innovative AI-based logistics management system for operating room equipment ("smart cabinet") was presented, which enables full inventory control, case-by-case dispensing, reduction of burden on staff and significant budget savings. In the field of information systems, the computerization of the shift handover process using the digital iPASS method was presented. In addition, construction and procurement processes were presented - from the initial concept to ribbon-cutting - and the great complexity behind every infrastructure project in an active hospital.
The day also included reference to organizational aspects and values: the work of the Legal Department in ensuring privacy protection; the Spokesperson’s department's activities to increase positive reputation through community relations and internal organizational communications; the Human Resources Department's "Resilience Ambassadors" project as a key tool for bolstering organizational resilience in a high-pressure system, and more.
The Administration and Logistics Day illustrated how infrastructure, technology, economics and human values integrate into a single system that enables medicine to focus on what matters most, and enables the hospital to continue saving lives, developing and innovating.
