Medical Portrait: An Exhibition Honoring Hillel Yaffe Physicians

Hillel Yaffe Medical Center recently opened the exhibition, Medical Portrait, a collection of photographs and personal quotes created in honor of Doctors' Day, with the goal of recognizing the work of physicians at the hospital and shedding light on daily medical practice from a human and intimate perspective. 

The exhibition features physicians from a wide range of departments, units and medical specialties, including department and division directors, senior physicians and residents at the beginning of their careers. Together, they represent the full spectrum of the hospital’s team of physicians, professionals united by their life-saving work, commitment quality of life and their support for patients and families. 

The photographs and quotes give voice to inner motivations, moments of calling, responsibility, and the daily choice to practice medicine - beyond the titles and uniforms.

The exhibition is displayed at the entrances to the hospital's two inpatient buildings, allowing those passing by - health care practitioners, patients and visitors - to become acquainted up close, and almost life-size, with medical professionals from all fields, including personal quotes that offer insight into their choice of the medical profession, the roots of their commitment to their role, and the values of humanity and compassion that are an integral part of everyday work. A moment to stop and get to know the person they are. 

Also, to mark Doctors' Day, gifts were distributed to the medical staff by the Human Resources Department with support from the hospital's Physicians' Committee.
