As the siren sounded, the staff and management of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center gathered for the ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Hostile Acts. At the opening of the ceremony, the hospital's rabbi, Rabbi Dovev Bindiger, recited the prayer, El Maleh Rachamim. Administrator, Mr. Rafi Koren, spoke about Asif Luger from Kibbutz Yagur, who fell in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. Asif loved writing poetry. As part of the musical memorial project, Seven Songs in October, a song he wrote before his death, Ad Bli Dai, was released and performed by Rita.

Welfare Coordinator Daniela Akev spoke about the Transparent Memory project, which commemorates soldiers who have succumbed to their hidden battle from within, noting that approximately 100 soldiers have taken their own lives as a result of unbearable psychological struggles. "It is our duty to remember that behind every person is a family and dreams, and to provide the full support and assistance that is needed.” Osnat Bar Ziv, a midwife in Hillel Yaffe's Delivery Room, dedicated the song Yeled HaSadeh (child of the field) to all those wounded in spirit, and Linoy Noa Shemer, a medical secretary in the Ophthalmology Department, also moved the audience with the song, Im Yesh Gan Eden (if there is a paradise).
The ceremony closed with those present standing for the singing Hatikvah, lighting memorial candles and praying for quieter days ahead.
