Dr. Jacob Rachmut is a specialist in general surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery and bariatric surgery, serving as a senior physician in Surgery Department B.
Dr. Rachmut studied medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Upon graduating in 2010, he began his general surgery residency at Hadassah Medical Center.
In 2018, after completing his residency, he joined the Surgical Department at Assuta Ashdod Medical Center, where he worked for several years as a general and bariatric surgeon.
In 2023, he began a fellowship in bariatric surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgery at St. George Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Upon returning to Israel, he joined the staff of Surgery Department B at Hillel Yaffe as a senior physician.
In this role, Dr. Rachmut performs a wide range of procedures, both elective and emergency, via open and minimally invasive approaches, including bariatric surgery.
Dr. Rachmut is active in student training at several universities and has been recognized as an outstanding lecturer multiple times.
