The new appointments include managers who are joining the medical center as well as others who have been promoted after being selected through a competitive tender process. Among the new appointments:
Dr. Amir Shapira has been appointed Director of Orthopedic Department B. He graduated from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), where he also served as a physician until joining Hillel Yaffe in 2019. Dr. Shapira completed fellowships in orthopedic trauma at the University of Miami in the United States and in sports orthopedics at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Prior to his appointment, he served as an attending physician in the Orthopedics Division.
Dr. Ariel Polonsky has been appointed Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Unit in the Division of Women, Maternity, and Reproductive Medicine. He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine in Chișinău, Moldova. He completed advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology at Jersey Medical Center in New York, followed by fellowships in gynecologic oncology at Rutgers University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States. He previously served as a physician at Laniado Hospital and as a physician-researcher at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He joined Hillel Yaffe as an attending physician in 2021. He currently also serves as Deputy Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Unit's ESGO-accredited fellowship program.
Dr. Renata Fierman has been appointed Director of the Breast Imaging Unit at Hillel Yaffe's Imaging Institute. She earned her medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil and completed her residency in radiology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov). She later completed a breast imaging fellowship in Ottawa, Canada. Prior to joining Hillel Yaffe, she served as Director of the BRCA Carriers Clinic at Sheba Medical Center and, before that, as an attending radiologist in the imaging departments at both Sheba Medical Center and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov).

Senior appointments have also been made within the Nursing Administration:
Michal Kogolovsky has been appointed Head Nurse of the Maternal and Fetal Medicine Department in the Division of Women, Maternity, and Reproductive Medicine. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in public health. A veteran nurse and certified midwife, she most recently served as a midwife in Hillel Yaffe's labor and delivery unit.
Albina Amilov has been appointed Head Nurse of the Urology Department. She holds a bachelor's degree in health systems management and has completed advanced training in the Combined Basic Intensive Care Nursing and Clinical Instructor Program. Prior to her appointment, she served as a nurse in the medical center's Surgical Division.
The current round of appointments concludes with Lior Polkovitz, Director of the Speech-Language Pathology Service, who was officially appointed to the position after serving in the role on an acting basis over the past year. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication disorders and a master's degree in cognitive studies, both from Tel Aviv University, graduating with honors in both programs. She joined Hillel Yaffe from Shoham Medical Center.
