New appointment at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center: Dr. Marinella Beckerman

Dr. Marinella Beckerman

Dr. Marinella Beckerman, who until a month ago was the deputy of Prof. Paltiel Weiner, the long-standing and popular Director of Internal Medicine Department A at Hillel Yaffe, was selected to replace Prof. Weiner. Dr. Beckerman began her work at Hillel Yaffe in 1991 as an intern in Internal Medicine Department A. After qualifying as a specialist in internal medicine, she later underwent an additional internship in pulmonary medicine at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. In 2008, she became Deputy Director of the department and subsequently in 2010 was appointed as Director of the Adult Pulmonary Unit. Upon the retirement of Prof. Paltiel Weiner, who was at the helm of Internal Medicine Department A for 23 years, Dr. Beckerman was appointed to replace him as director of the department. 

Prof. Meir Oren, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, said, “Dr. Beckerman is one of our best and most senior physicians; she has proved her professional ability in the past, and I am sure that she will continue to do so in the future, while caring for the welfare of the department’s patients, and also the development of the services the department provides.”
