Dr. Nimrod Ron named as director of Orthopedics B Department

Dr. Nimrod Ron has taken over as Director of Orthopedics B, after his predecessor, Clinical Assistant Professor Yoram Folman, retired at the end of February.

Dr. Ron joined the staff of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in 1990 as a resident in orthopedics after completed medical school at University of Rome in Italy. From 1994-1995, he completed a post-basic residency in orthopedics at Cumberland Hospital in the UK, and in 2002 completed advanced training in orthopedic surgery of the foot and ankle at the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan, Italy. In 2003, he was named Deputy Director of the department and from 2008-2012 served as Director of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Unit. Dr. Ron is a member of Israeli Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Association and a member of international orthopedic surgery and trauma organizations.

Dr. Ron lives in Caesarea, and is married with two children.
