New in Town

Hillel Yaffe Medical Center's Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department reinvented itself through an important new acquisition - Dr. Ilan Bruchim, gynecologic oncology specialist, who will serve as Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Unit and Director of Gynecology.

Dr. Bruchim graduated medical school at the Technion with honors and went on to specialize in gynecology and obstetrics and Meir Medical Center. He then had a fellowship in gynecological oncology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. After returning to Israel, he served as head of the Gynecological Service and Meir Hospital until his recent appointment to Hillel Yaffe. Over the years, Dr. Bruchim has worked as a lecturer and researcher at Tel Aviv University in the field of ovarian and uterine cancer, and has won national and international prizes for excellence.

"Dr. Bruchim brings with him skills and his extensive experience in benign and malignant diseases of the female reproductive track," said Prof. Motti Hallak, Director of the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, "Not to mention his impressive experience in general gynecologic surgery and other related fields in gynecology, all of which are a very important addition to the services provided to women in the region and in general."

Dr. Bruchim himself said that he was delighted to join the senior staff of Hillel Yaffe's Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Department, which currently provides diagnostic services and treatment for a variety of issues, including complex pelvic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopies, treatment of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, clinics for pelvic floor, cervix, follow-up and treatment of women with cervical, uterine, ovarian cancer and more.
