Gender Equality Day at Hillel Yaffe

Last Thursday, Hillel Yaffe employees came together for an especially wonderful evening, produced as part of Gender Equality Day.

The event was organized by Ms. Daniella Akev, Wellness Coordinator and Head of Gender Equality and Promotion of Women at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. The event was attended by 200 staff members and employees from the various sectors, who enjoyed a diverse array of booths, a fascinating lecture by Ms. Yafit Alfandari, Director of Consumption and Finance Sector, and Advisor to the Government Statistician on the Promotion of Women, who spoke about gender statistics in Israeli society, and dined on a delicious dinner prepared by the hospital's dedicated kitchen staff.

The evening opened with greetings from the director of the medical center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, who shared his egalitarian philosophy, and happily mentioned the large number of women managers at the hospital in all professions. He even stated that there has been a consistent upward trend over the years in the number of managers at the medical center. 

And to cap off the evening, the participants enjoyed the new performance by Shai Avivi and Michal Livdinski, which shares situations and dilemmas from married life through the lens of outstanding sweet-bitter humor.
