The Ultrasound Unit at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center is among the first in Israel to buy and start using the Voluson E-10 ultrasound system.

The new system was designed with innovative technology that makes it possible to perform ultrasound exams (early detailed ultrasound, nuchal translucency and more) at a quality and resolution never seen previously. The system allows 3D and 4D ultrasound images, through which it is possible to clearly see and demonstrate the internal and external organs, even at very early stages of fetal development. This enables diagnosis of diseases or defects at a relatively early stage and makes it possible to see the baby's face clearly.

According to Assistant Clinical Professor Alon Shrim, Director of the Ultrasound Unit of the Hillel Yaffe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, "The purchase of new system, which joins the other advanced ultrasound systems we have been using in recent years, is another step the Ultrasound Unit at HYMC has taken towards become a leader, maintaining the high level of advanced ultrasounds and driving excellence in prenatal diagnosis in gynecology in general and specifically in pregnancy."
