During the visit, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein met with the administration of the medical center as well as with senior representatives of the Anesthesiology Department and Imaging Institute. Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Acting Director General of HYMC, presented the work of the hospital and introduced him to future large-scale projects, such as construction of a new, protected operating room, expansion and protection of the NICU area and more. Dr. Dudkiewicz also thanked Rabbi Eckstein for his important fundraising efforts on behalf of the hospital.
Rabbi Eckstein toured the hospital and, together with Dr. Dudkiewicz, Dr. Amnon Ben Moshe, the Administrative Director, and Dr. Alexei Pozorov, Deputy Director of the Anesthesiology Department and Operating Rooms, they excitedly inaugurated the Fellowship Room, located at the entrance to the waiting area for the operating rooms, which were renovated with the help of the IFCJ.
Surrounded by hospital staff and members of the administration, Rabbi Eckstein then visited the MRI Unit, where he thanked everybody there for their hard work. He further stated that he believes it is very important to redouble the effort to raise funds to expand the activity required at the hospital. Additionally, he was grateful for the warm welcome he received and promised to continue to do his utmost to help the hospital in the future.
