As part of Hillel Yaffe's efforts to expand the services provided to women through the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, it opened a new clinic for genetic-gynecological counseling in December 2016. The director of the clinic is Prof. Arie Drugan, a senior gynecologist and specialist in genetics and prenatal diagnosis of fetal abnormalities. He has a great deal of experience in the field of gynecogenetics.

The clinic provides genetic counseling and is designed for women and couples who need/are interested in medical information about the risk of disease or abnormalities before getting pregnant. The clinic also provides information about the nature of issues or abnormalities that are discovered during pregnancy, as well as information about possibilities for diagnosis and treatment of the fetus and newborn. The objective is to allow women and couples to make educated decisions about continuing the pregnancy and delivery process or make decisions prior to pregnancy.

To come to the clinic, you will need a referral from your doctor in the community along with a financial commitment form from the medical insurer (for consults that are included in the health basket).

To schedule an appointment for genetic counseling, call the appointment call center for Hillel Yaffe Medical Center's Outpatient Clinics at: 04-6304252.
