During Rosh Hashana, 26 families had the good fortune of welcoming the New Year along with the good news of a new addition to the family. Among those happy people were Gil (30) and Elad (32) Yemini of Beit Eliezer in Hadera. “Instead of the holiday meal, which was supposed to be at my mothers house,” Gal said, we spent the holiday in the delivery room.On the eve of the holiday itself, while the entire family moved the holiday meal to the other side, because of the special circumstances, and blessed the New Year, Gal and Elad blessed their firstborn, a son, weighing 2.680 kg.

The due date was October 4, but the baby evidently wanted to be born on Rosh Hashana and not Sukkot. Regardless, the delivery was uneventful, and together with the delivery room staff and then while hospitalized in the Maternity Department, and Gal said that they are happy with the festive and special date, and are delighted that the delivery went well.

Note that the Jewish year of 5777 was an especially productive year for Hillel Yaffe Medical Center's Maternity Division - with 4,600 births, including 100 sets of twins and two sets of triplets. This represents 11.5% growth over the previous year. The reason is evidently due to the fact that the structure and infrastructure of the Maternity Division was significantly upgraded, and it expanded the services it provides to its patients.
