From Buenos Aires to Hillel Yaffe

Last week, the staff of Hillel Yaffe's Newborn and Neonatal Care Department hosted Prof. Nestor Vain of Buenos Aires, a senior physician who is well known in the field of neonatology.

Prof. Vain came to Israel to participate in the fall conference of the Israel Neonatal Society. While in Israel, he was invited to visit the NICU at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. He first gave a lecture to the Maternity Ward’s medical and nursing staff on how to treat meconium aspiration syndrome. He was then given a tour of the NICU by the NICU staff, headed by Dr. Michael Feldman, Department Director. At the end of the visit, the group continued to a guided tour of the walls of ancient Caesarea.
